THE GREAT TASTE OF THE GROUNDS

The brief for our roasters was simple, but daunting: create a blend that would define the taste of The Grounds – a punchy workhorse of a blend that pays homage to old-school dark espresso. And so in 2012, Beanstalker was born, becoming our signature house blend that showcases what great coffee is all about.

THE ROAST: MEDIUM / DARK

Our medium / dark roast develops deep, rich flavours, accentuating the blend's signature espresso punch. This careful process unlocks bold notes of dark chocolate and caramel, creating a classic, full-bodied coffee that confidently cuts through milk and stands strong on its own.

THE PROCESS: NATURAL / HONEY WASHED

Combining natural and honey-washed beans from four renowned origins creates remarkable depth. This process imparts a natural sweetness and subtle fruit notes that beautifully complement the blend’s heavy body, resulting in a complex and layered cup with exceptional balance and a smooth, lingering finish.

THE METHOD: ESPRESSO

Crafted as the quintessential Espresso blend, its bold structure is the ideal canvas for milk-based coffees, cutting through with rich, comforting flavours. Served black, it offers the satisfying, punchy experience of a timeless Espresso, showcasing its full-bodied character and classic caramel finish.
