Birthplace

The Nzove Washing station is located in the Ngozi province of Burundi. The station was built in 1992 in the commune of Mwumba. The site of the station can be found in an area with remarkably fertile and nutritious soil which resulted in the local people of the area farming and cultivating the rich land without receiving any permission from the government at the time!

Preparation

Once the cherries are picked and delivered they are hand sorted, floated, pulped and then fermented overnight. Wet parchment is then run through serpentine and floaters removed. Once separated, the coffee is then washed one final time then placed out on sorting tables to remove any defects and is laid out to dry on raised beds for up to 28 days until the ideal moisture content is achieved.

We offer FREE standard delivery on Australian orders over $50. For orders under $50, we offer shipping at a flat rate of $5. Standard deliveries arrive in 2-5 business days.

PLEASE NOTE: Over the Christmas and New Years period there may be some delays to shipping due to festive season demand.

International shipping can be requested by emailing orders@thegrounds.com.au.

Returning Your Items
We accept returns within 30 days of purchase date. We can only accept returns for incorrect, damaged or expired items so please make your choices carefully!

If you've received incorrect, damaged or expired items, please contact our team directly at orders@thegrounds.com.au and they will organise a replacement or refund. 

Refunds (if applicable) 
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
