El Paseo

COUNTRY: Colombia

REGION: NARIÑO

Huver, a third-generation coffee grower, made a remarkable shift in 2015 from teaching math to pursuing his true calling in coffee. Working alongside his father on the family-owned El Paseo farm in Nariño, southern Colombia, Huver has deepened his connection to the land, producing some of the region's finest coffees. Located near Buesaco on the Suma Paz trail, El Paseo sits at altitudes between 1,750 to 1,950 meters, benefiting from cool temperatures and rich soil, perfect for growing high-quality coffee. Surrounded by native shade trees and overlooking the stunning Buesaco valley, the farm has been in the family for over 20 years and is known for its exceptional beauty and natural harmony.

Caturra

Caturra is a natural mutation of the Arabica Bourbon coffee plant, characterised by its short stature and high yield. Originating in Brazil and thriving at higher altitudes, it produces a balanced cup with bright acidity and complex flavours.

Washed

During the wash method, the outer skin and pulp of the coffee cherry is removed through depulping, leaving behind the mucilage-covered beans. The beans are then fermented to remove the mucilage before being washed and dried.
