FLAVOURS OF:

SWEET LEMON, BERGAMOT, APRICOT, MELON

This is the archetype of a washed Yirgacheffe - elegant, floral, and incredibly clean. If you love Earl Grey tea, this is your coffee. The cup leads with a distinct bergamot and sweet lemon aromatic that feels more like tea than coffee. As it cools, you get a beautiful, juicy layer of apricot and melon that adds just enough weight to keep it from feeling too thin. It’s sparkling, refined, and perfect for a slow Sunday morning pour-over.

COUNTRY: Ethiopia

REGION: YIRGACHEFFE

Banko Gotiti is located in the Gedeb district, a high-altitude area south of Yirgacheffe town that often produces the region's densest beans. Sourced from over 650 smallholder farmers, this is true "garden coffee", grown on tiny family plots alongside food crops like enset (false banana). The high elevation (up to 2300 MASL) means warm days and freezing nights, forcing the cherries to mature slowly and lock in sugar. After pulping, the beans undergo a long 36–48 hour fermentation before being painstakingly hand-sorted on raised beds for two weeks.

MIXED HEIRLOOM

Ethiopian Mixed Heirloom refers to a diverse group of traditional Arabica varietals native to Ethiopia. Known for bright acidity and expressive flavours, they often show notes of florals, citrus, stone fruit, and tea-like sweetness. Best suited to filter and pour-over brewing, they highlight clarity, aromatics, and complexity.

Washed

During the wash method, the outer skin and pulp of the coffee cherry is removed through depulping, leaving behind the mucilage-covered beans. The beans are then fermented to remove the mucilage before being washed and dried.
