COUNTRY: Ethiopia

REGION: YIRGACHEFFE

Mr. Tadese Teko farms in Shale village, near Worka in Ethiopia’s Yirgacheffe region, where coffee supports his family and future generations. Part of the Single Farmer Project, this lot was kept separate rather than blended with larger regional coffees, allowing Tadese’s work to be recognised in every cup.

HEIRLOOM ETHIOPIAN VARIETIES

This Single Origin uses Ethiopian heirloom varietal renowned for their vibrant floral aroma, juicy acidity, and notes of citrus, jasmine, and stone fruit. Grown in high altitudes, they excels in pour-over and filter brewing methods, highlighting the delicate and nuanced flavour profile perfect for specialty coffee lovers.

Washed

During the wash method, the outer skin and pulp of the coffee cherry is removed through depulping, leaving behind the mucilage-covered beans. The beans are then fermented to remove the mucilage before being washed and dried.
